I'm Caffine Free!!!

I am an addict.  I have been for the last 20 + years.Only one other time in my life have I been completely clean and that was for about a year.    I am now 23 days clean and free.  My headaches and cravings have gone.  I know this isn't as serious as being sober from alcohol or being smoke free but this is my addiction.  and I feel pretty dang good about it!!  Woohoo for me!!

So it is my birthday and I am a Ripe Old 38.  I asked Robbie if for my birthday I could have a mid life

crisis.  I told him I didn't want much just the fat in my thighs taken out and put in my breast so that they go back to where they are supposed to be-on my chest and not near my belly button.  I just wanted the fat plain gone from the rest of me and so lipo would be fine.  I also told him I wanted some minor cosmetic dentistry done as well as hair extensions(I don't have the patients to grow long hair).  He said fine but could I wait until after we get the boys finished with college. 

I had a great birthday.  I went and helped out in Malia's classroom and as I walked in they started singing Happy Birthday to me.  It was so cute.  Maren came up and I was able to have lunch with her, Skyler and Anya.  Love them.  I then drove over to Logan picked up my favorite pizza subs and Papa Kelsey's and went to Skyview to watch my son beat the Skyview kid wrestling.  Brit did a great job. The wrestler then sang to me.  SWEET!!   Malia drew me a book, Robbie gave me a great picture frame, Brit wrote me a letter and Breck told me Happy Birthday first thing in the morning.  Love my family

 

Robbie took me out last night for a birthday celebration.  We went to the movies (Harry Potter) and then to Ruth's Chris Steak house.  We drive into the parking lot and a guy comes out and says this is Valet only and did we want to valet.  I immediately say no because I don't know how much it is going to cost and don't really want someone else in my car.  It was freezing outside and so Robbie would have done it.  We go across the street and pay $5 at the kiosk and park.  As we walk across the street, I see the price of the Valet.  It is only $4.  What!!  I spent more for the privilege of walking across the street in the sleeting rain.  How crazy is that.

If you have never been to this steak house it in a really expensive treat.  Thankfully we had a $150 gift card.  All of  the meal is Ala carte. The fillet was $37 dollar just by itself.  Garlic Mashed potatoes $10.  I was incredibly skeptical.  However the steak was amazing.  Our main love are sizzler steaks-I know we are old people completely- but I love them.  This steak was 10 times as good.  The potatoes and mushrooms were good but nothing spectacular.  However the cheesecake was great.  I really enjoyed it.  Our meal with tip was $127.  I want to throw up a little just thinking about it.  Thankfully I wasn't really paying so I am very OK with it.  We also had a water boy that I could purchase bottled water from or get the freshest (he said that-like he didn't fill it up with tap water please) ice water from.  Our waiters name was Fraser and he was quite the help.  We had a really fun time.  38 might not be so bad after all!
